The problem

A New York jewelry house needed its online store to carry the detail of a showroom visit: the cut, the setting, the metal. Flat product photos and a template theme were not doing that, and the business ran its documents and customer statements by hand.

What I did

Designed and built the storefront end to end, the 3D and AR product views, checkout, and the admin side that handles customer documents, KYC, and statements.

How it works

A Next.js storefront with React Three Fiber product views and AR models, Stripe checkout, and an editorial design system in alabaster, charcoal, and champagne. The admin keys every customer record on one canonical email so totals, documents, and PDF statements always line up.

The hard parts

  1. 01

Keeping 3D product rendering smooth on real phones, not just on a development machine.

  2. 02

Customer emails stored with stray spaces made invoiced and memo totals disappear in the admin. Every comparison now goes through one key function, and an A/B preview against seeded data proved the fix before it shipped.

What changed

  • Customers inspect pieces in 3D and AR and check out in one storefront, built as 119 statically generated pages.
  • The back office produces per-customer documents and PDF statements from the same records the storefront uses.
